The Norwegian section of PIANC welcomes you to the bi-annual NordPIANC event in Svolvær in the beginning of September 2024.
The venue for the conference is Thon Hotel Lofoten, where the seminar session will take place on the 10th
floor of the hotel. You can get a glimpse of the view from the roof of the hotel using this webcamera:
In addition to the seminar the conference also includes a reception and a technical tour. Depending on the
number of participants, the reception will be held at the Kabelvåg office of The Norwegian Coastal
Administration (NCA), just 5 km from Svolvær. In 2024, this office of the Norwegian Coastal Administration
marks its 150th anniversary.
The conference dinner will take place adjacent to a local beer brewery, where we will be introduced to
“Lofotpils” and enjoy a dinner based on locally produced ingredients from Lofoten.
